Heart of Darkness

I had an 8:30 appearance in Shasta this morning. As it happened, I just finished reading Heart of Darkness. How was my Shasta appearance? Well the 99 seemed interminable and when I arrived I noticed a haze hung over the courthouse that seemed to separate it from the rest of the world. Not without struggle I got to the Inner courtroom and noticed Judge Kurtz was presiding. Ugh.
