Mind The Caterpillars

The MacDonald Triad is a set of three factors that, if two are present in a person, tend to be predictive of future violent tendencies and sociopathy, including sexually predatory behavior. Those three factors are: cruelty to animals, arson, and persistent bedwetting. It’s mostly invalidated but not to me. What does this have to do with caterpillars? I’ll tell you. I run the trail along Vallombrosa in Chico and around this time of year the caterpillars are crossing. If you’re one of those people who rides their bike without concern for the caterpillars, I just assume you are a sociopath and a sexual predator and that you belong in a locked hospital setting.
